The Stations

Station 1: 

  • Respiratory (10 minutes – 6 minute examination with a 1 minute warning and 4 minutes to present and discuss)
  • Abdominal (10 minutes – 6 minute examination with a 1 minute warning and 4 minutes to present and discuss)

Station 2:

  • History (20 minutes – 14 minute history with a 2 minute warning, 1 minute thinking time, 5 minute discussion; you can take notes; you have 5 minutes beforehand to read the scenario): read the referral letter, take a history, no need to examine, talk the patient through differential, investigations etc and answer their questions.

Station 3:

  • Cardiovascular (10 minutes – 6 minute examination with a 1 minute warning and 4 minutes to present and discuss)
  • Nervous System (10 minutes – 6 minute examination with a 1 minute warning and 4 minutes to present and discuss)

Station 4:

  • Communication (20 minutes – 14 minute discussion with a 2 minute warning, 1 minute thinking time, 5 minute discussion; you have 5 minutes beforehand to read the scenario)

Station 5:

  • Integrated 1 (10 minutes – 8 minute patient interaction and 2 minutes to present and discuss; you have 5 minutes beforehand to read the referral letters for both patients)
  • Integrated 2 (10 minutes – 8 minute patient interaction and 2 minutes to present and discuss; you have 5 minutes beforehand to read the referral letters for both patients)
